Within Earth’s surface, there are billions of tons rocks containing minerals that reactive with CO 2 , which is a greenhouse gas has harmful effects on our planet’s climate. Over thousands years, these interact the in air, converting into new carbonate and permanently storing solid form. Today, as society develops solutions to combat excess atmosphere, processes carried out by could present valuable opportunity. There challenge speeding up reactions so they happen within days (or even weeks), rather than years. Climate like this still will require more young enthusiastic minds advance their development climate livable for generations come!
